on behalf of the bedford-stuyvesant restoration corporation, the brooklyn chamber of commerce, and the weeksville socity, 12x24 foot wallscapes of mos def (created by graphic designer howard allen), june jordan (painted by mascha oehlmann) and hattie carthan (painted by the artist true) were launched on march 10, 2005 at restoration plaza to honor and speak to brooklyn residents and activists while creating an attractive environment in the bed-stuy neighborhood.
